Maybe I can be of some help.I just finished a book on "THOMAS ASHBROOK: His Life, His Lineage, and His Legacy."I tried to document all of the information on John (the immigrant ancestor), Aaron and Hannah, Aaron and Mary, Thomas and Agnes, and Thomas's children. In Aaron's will it only names his wife Hannah who got everything except the plantation which went to the oldest son John.
After John was thrown and killed by a horse, the second eldest, Aaron, inherited the plantation.
I know Thomas Ashbrook talks of his Uncle Levi Ashbrook in his pension papers. That would have to be the son of Aaron (and Hannah), brother to Aaron (and Mary).I recently found proof that Thomas's father, Aaron, also fought in the Rev. War while Thomas was too young. An article from a newspaper in 1894 said he was a lad of sixteen when he hid his father's horses in the swamp from the Tories.
I am willing to share information.I have no information on Aaron and Hannah's daughter(s).
By the way, as Thomas never had a headstone, I have since ordered and had one made. The SAR and DAR and Legion are dedicating it on Nov. 3rd at 11:00 AM in Owen Co., IN.If you would like more information on this or a map, I will be glad to email one. What makes you believe Levi had a stone?
