My grandfather James Ashcroft was born on 12th September 1878. The family originates from the Wavertree/West Derby/Walton area of Liverpool.

My father b. 21 May 1909(now deceased) remebered travelling as a small boy with his father in a pony & trap to a farm in the Wavertree area.

Could thre be a connection here?
