On November 4, 1859, Thomas Aston married Louise Lauzon at the Eglise evangelique francaise in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The church records indicate that he his the son of Charles Aston & Mary Jones and that he came from Treybegloes?, Wales.
Question #1 : Is Treybegloes the proper spelling? I can't seem to locate it on the map. Can anyone give me some hits of where it is located?
Question #2 : On December 30, 1864, Louise Lauzon married Pierre Pariseau and in the church records it is stated that her marriage with Thomas Aston was invalidated because 1) Thomas was not able to provide proof of the death of his previous wife, Marguerite Byrne, and 2) he had married Louise Lauzon, a minor, without the consent of her mother.
Would anyone know where and when Thomas married Marguerite Byrne? Can anyone now provide the proof that Marguerite Byrne had died when Thomas married Louise Lauzon?
Thomas and Louise had two children : Celina (christened on May 15 1859) and Thomas (christened on October 28 1860 at the age of 2 months). In the church records, both children are said to be of unknown parents. But we were able to link these two children with their parents based on the 1861 census records which show all four of them living under the same roof in Ste-Sophie, Quebec. The children took the name of Pariseau when their mother remarried, so did their descendants.
Question #3 : Would anyone know when Thomas arrived in Canada and what happened to him after his marriage with Louise ended? Did he remary & have other children? Did he go back to Wales?
Question #4 : Would anyone have information on Charles Aston & Mary Jones which would allow me to keep going up the tree?
I thank you in advance for any help in solving the mystery surrounding Thomas.
