I have information on this person.Eugene's sister Nellie was my great grandmother. As I know it, Eugene and Nellie were the children of Mary Wilcox from seperate marrages and/or relationships.
Mary Wilcox was the daughter of Theodore Wilcox and his wife Almina Alberry. They are on the 1870 and 1880 census in McLean Co. Illinois. On the 1885 census you can find Theodore and his family in Lincoln 2nd Ward, Lancaster Co Nebraska.Mary and Frank Albre(? hard to read) and their son Gene are shown living with them as boarders.
I have marriage records for Mary Wilcox when she married James Silver (sp) on April 29 1891 in Lincoln Nebraska and when shemarried Levi E. Beckwith on May 30, 1897. In both records her parents are named.
Mary's daughter Nellie Bessie, who was born on Feb 11 1888 in Lincoln Ne married John Weaver Bailey. They had 6 children; Walter Edward (my grandfather), Robert Wayne, Harry, Bessie Irene, Velda and John,All the old Bailey family records (such as her children's birth certificates) show her maiden name as Beckwith. Later records, such as marriage and death records of her children show her maiden name as Alberry. Since this is also her mother's maiden name it is confusing.I have come to believe that Levi Beckwith was her stepfather, and she used his name.
I have Eugene Wilcox's death certificate and it shows his mother as Mary Beckwith. This information is given by John Bailey who was the son of Nellie Bailey. His address is given as 7216 Perry Road, Bell Gardens, Los Angeles County, Ca.This is the house of Nellie Bailey. My mother (Helen Bailey) and her sister Patricia remember this house.
I would love to contact you about Eugene and Nellie. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
