-Died 8 Jan 1926, Denton County, Texas -Married 29 Dec. 1875, Whitfield County, Ga. -During the Civil War was a private in Co. A, 23rd Battalion, George Infantry Local Defense (Athens' Battalion)He appears on a list of first-class mechanics detailed from the Army to work as a blacksmith at the government foundry and machine works in Augusta, Ga., 1 Feb. 1865. - He had a son named J.T. Autrey who was living at Pilot Point, Denton County, Texas on 4 Aug. 1937.
