I descend from Thomas Matthew Awbrey's brother, James Jackson Washington Awbrey.Thomas was born 23 May 1818 in Morgan County, Georgia, died 15 May 1915 in Houston, Heard County, Georgia.

Mr T M AWBREY enjoyed last week a reunion with all his children at the home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs Mary AWBREY, in this place [Roanoke]. Besides his son residing here, J T B AWBREY, there were present Mrs J C WILSON and Mrs Addie BELL, of Carrollton, Ga; Mrs COPELAND, of Newnan, Ga; and Mrs John SHACHELFORD, of Britton, Texas.
