I went churchyard bashing at the weekend to try and find some Aylings at Duncton, Sussex.Below are the MI's I did find.If any of these look likely contenders for anyone, let me know and I'll try and get the photo's emailed over (once I get the film developed!).
George Ayling Born October 29 1831 Died October 27 1878 Christ's faithful soldier and servant unto his life's end (these words are from the CofE baptism service)
John Ayling died April 15th 1886 Aged 80 years (unfortunately the inscription was unclear to make out - unfortunately, sandstone gets flakey)
Elizabeth Ayling died November 15th(?) 1881(?) Aged 11 years Waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ
All three are positioned together at the west end of the churchyard nearest the church itself. Elizabeth's I had to use chalk on to bring the wording out a bit better for photographing.
Also went to Burton Church which is about half a mile away, no Aylings found but some were known to have been baptised and married there.
