Hi Martha, Here is what I have on Samuel Hazelton Babson. It comes from the Babson Genealogy, page 182. His grandmother was probably SARAH (HAZELTON) WHARFF who married Samuel Babson. Not sure about that as I didn't have time to really check it out. Let me know if it fills in any gaps.
SAMUEL HAZELTON9 BABSON (Daniel T.8) was born in Lower Salem, Washington County, Ohio, 4 Dec. 1841, died there in March 1913. He married in Lower Salem, Ohio, 30 July 1862, DIANTHA JOHNSON, who was born in Washington Co., Ohio, 23 Oct. 1841, died there in Oct. 1912. He was named Samuel for his grandfather and Hazelton for his grandmother. In the census of 1870, he is listed next to his father and eldest sister, Anna, and her husband. At that time he and his wife were aged 28, Daniel 6; Minnie M. 4; Dexter 1 year. Their post office address was Lowell, Ohio, the township was Salem. (Ohio Census, Salem #203). They are buried in Lower Salem. Their children, born in Lower Salem, Ohio: + 776. i. DANIEL TARR10 b. 3 Mar. 1864. 777. ii. MINNIE MAE b. 14 May 1866; d. 17 June 1905;
