Hi Joe: I have a copy of John Thomas Baggett and Caroline Smith's marriage record in Polk County and they were married 22 May 1877, not 1874. In the court records of Polk County on 6 Nov. 1877 he was granted gaurdianship over his sister-in-law, Phoebian (Phoebe Ann), Smith who was insane. She is living with them in 1880, along with his two nephews, Thomas Roman and William Henry, who Rheta Knapp informs me were sons of Henry, John Thomas's brother, in Hillsborough County, Florida. I had thought perhaps the John T. Baggett born to Tennell Baggett and Nancy Elliot in Monroe Co, Georgia, might be him, but I haven't been able to verify. Do you know anything about Tennell? I have a lot of his children, but no Henry. What I have is Tennell, b. 1806 in SC, mar. Nancy Elliot 16 mar 1837, Monroe Co, Georgia. They had 12 children that I know of. You find them on the 1850 census of Monroe Co, Ga with John being 4 months old. Can you help here? Thanks for all your input.
