Thanks for offering to help. Can you tell me anything about the Bagnall family? 1)Where in northern Ireland were the Bagnalls from? 2)Do you know anything about your grandfather's parents? 3)Was George Bagnall's wife's name Alice McCarten? What happened to her? 4) Have you had any contact with other Bagnall cousins? 5) Do you have any photos of the family? (I have a couple of my great grandmother, Mary Alice Bagnall Griffin)
This is all I have in my Bagnall file:
Obits from the Chicago Tribune for: George Bagnall, husband of Minnie Gillen, George P Bagnall, husband of Eleanor Hafencher, Joseph P (Irish) Bagnall, husband of Lucille Oberg, Lucille Bagnall (nee Oberg), wife of Joseph P Bagnall, and Mary Bagnall daughter of Joseph P and Lucille.
Ships manifest from 1907. The ship is the SS Saxonial sailing from Liverpool Feb 5, 1907 arriving at the port of Boston Feb 15 1907.It lists a George 50 Farmer, Alice 40 something, George 22, Mary Alice 14, Patrick J (age?)
According to the 1910 Census for Chicago George Sr. 57, his sons, George Jr. 24 & Joseph 11 and his daughter, (my great-grandmother), Mary Alice 18 all came to the US in 1907. George is widowed.
I found George Bagnall Jr. in both the 1920 & 1930 Census for Chicago. George is a motorman for the street cars. He has a total of 7 children: Isabell, George P, John T, Eugene, Frances M, Aloysius, and Mary T. Aloysius and Mary T were twins-and Isabell apparently died by 1930
I would appreciate any other information that you could supply. You may contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
