YES Amanda - I can help!I am so glad you are probably related.I have a LOT of info below.
First, there is a question from your lineage description and hopefully you can answer it = I am looking for an Edward Bahr who married a woman maiden named "Smiley" and they had a daughter named Helen Smiley Bahr, who was an Army nurse during WWII.Helen's father was a clerk who lived in Baltimore and I think, died early - maybe early 1940's or late 1930's.Helen's mother lived in Edgewood, MD before she died during WWII.Can there be a connection of this family to the Edward Bahr you mentioned?
Second, I wrote the articles on the Bahrs in Findagrave.com. and the ones regarding Wills Mountain. There is no generation between my great grandfather, Frederick John Bahr and his son, Frederick Jr. (who was born in NY).Fredericka "Ricky" Pleiss married Frederick Jr., and their children do not mention an Edward.Their children are: (1) a set of twins that died very young; (2) William F. (who married and had 2 sons: William and Richard; (3) Emma; (4) Frederica (who married Elmer Thompson); (5) Carrie who married Ameil Ruffini; (6) Frederick (unknown whereabouts) > AMANDA - DO YOU THINK THIS "Frederick" HAD A SON NAMED "Edward"? < ; (7) Alvin W.; and (8) Lillian.
Third, Centenniel Bahr was my great uncle.I remember him from childhood and have photos of him. I am in touch with his grandson, Allen Bahr.Is your mother still alive and do you have any more memories of her recollections?I surely would like to know of any and all links and see any photos you might have.
AMANDA - I am in touch with a relative of Frederick Jr.'s wife, who is doing research on the Bahr family.I will pass along this info to him and see what he says and get back to you.It would also help to get City Directories to see if Frederick Jr's son, Frederick, had a son named Edward and where he might have been listed to live.Is there census info?Do you have an email address we can directly correspond, or do you prefer posting on this web?
