am in process of selecting a publisher for a new book titled "Leonard and William Ballew of Early Henrico County, Virginia and Their Descendants" (details below).
Based on initial discussions with publishers, the cost will probably be $35-40, including shipping.if interested, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org; your response will help me decide how many books to print.
i estimate it will take about 6 weeks before i will be able to mail books once a publisher is selected
The book traces the descendants of Leonard and William Ballew of Henrico Co, VA to Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Iowa, Kentucky, Indiana, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. The focus is on the earliest Ballews through c1820, with later information on some lines. The book relies heavily on original source materials, including many early Virginia records that were looked at for the first time in over 200 years. This original research enabled multiple, previously disparate Ballew lines to be linked together.
The book is 500 pages long and is fully referenced and indexed. It identifies the likely origins of the Virginia family; the probable progenitor of the Henrico Ballews; and provides detailed rationale for establishing family relationships when those relationships are not explicitly stated in the records. It additionally debunks several Ballew myths, including the one that identifies Rice Meredith Ballew as the progenitor of the family.
