It is wonderful to hear from you and learn old stories from relatives long ago. Words are not enough to express my thanks for the history and information.Once i learned your Josephine's married name became Crain, I did a quick search and found her and her husband were buried in the McGregor, Tx city cemetery. Then lo&behold buried next to them were Claude David Bussa & Mary Elizabeth (Davis) Barmore(1833-1912) !!!!! but Benjamin B. Barmore (1/22/1830-12/9/1890) was not listed.
That solved one of the two mystery Davis burial locations. I'm about 80% sure Mary's mother (Mariam) is buried in the White Zion Presbyterian Church Cemetery, near Tupelo, Ms (post correction: church is Presbyterian). We plan on making a trip there in the next few months. By the way, I am the last male Davis in the entire family line since David M. Davis.
I have photos of Mary's brother (James) and sister (Josephine). Both looking grim too.
Mary's sisters, Martha and Josephine, are buried in Brownwood,Tx. Perhaps those are the ones in your picture?
I will contact you soon and will send some information.
