My great-grandfather, Dominic Barranco, also was from Cefalu and entered the United States in the same timeframe. He and his brothers were grocers. His wife was Sarah Battaglia. They settled in Arkansas and had several children. My Barranco cousins had/have the surnames of Barranco, Colosi, Failla, Aureli and Taylor. It was always my understanding that other Barranco cousins -- the families of my great-grandfather's brothers -- resided in Beaumont, Texas, Greenville, Miss., and New Orleans, La.
