I am one of a group working on an official history of the Wisconsin 23rd Regiment . Two of our men are Alonzo D. Bartholomew b. ? in Virginia. We have his service record (he enlisted 12 Aug 1862 at Bellmont, Lafayette Co., WI & was m. twice.(1) to Laura b. c. 1848 in Illinois and had 3 children, Ona, Palmer, & Elsworth.Laura & Palmer were living in Pleasant Valley, IA in 1895. He m. (2) to Lydia b. c. 1831??? Alonzo d. 25 May 1920 & was buried at Los Angeles National Cemetery.We need information on both his wives.We also need Alonzo's date of birth & birthplace & the names & info for his parents.
Our other man is Joseph M. Bartholomew b. 26 dec 1837 at Lexington, McLean Co., IL.I need the names of his parents and their data & his siblings.
I also need the date of his marriage to Sarah C. Rathbun, her birth, death, burial data & the data for her parents and her siblings names.I also need his date/place of death & burial and any pension info.I do have his children;'s names.Also any organizations he belonged to etc.
This is all the information we have. If you can help us fill in any of our blanks we would be grateful.
