Thank YOU for your information also.It looks like we may be onto the same track.Your Ernestine certainly fits the age bracket that fits our Paul Henry's relatives.Plus the names of Ernestine's children seem to bear a close resemblance to the names chosen by Paul Henry.I am wondering if myg. grandfather stayed with Ernestine before he came to America. My g. grandfather spoke German and English. He was also a farmer and extremely hard-working.Your Ernestine's Wilhelmina may also be the right age for Paul to have known her in his own youth. My father spoke of a Frederick or Fredericka mentioned by his grandfather. The names of August, and Henry were also used.
I discovered on another genforum posting that Dahlke's WERE indeed prevalent in the actual city of Rummelsburg during the 1800's .If Paul Henry and Ernestine were indeed siblings, then your ggg. grandmother was Charlotte Dahlke Bartz and your ggg. grandfather was Ludwig Bartz.
Please keep in touch. Do you have a tree of your own family? You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Do you have any other knowledge of her family?Barz and Bartz do come from the upper portion of Poland...and her "t" may have been dropped when she immigrated. Also, were they Lutheran by chance?
Thank you for your information.I do think we are possibly connected.Sue
