I do not find a William Basket in this generation....however, the Pleasant Basket shown above did have a son, William. I am not at all certain of the approximate birth of Pleasant. However, if he was born ca 1766 as I have it, he seems to be too young (13) to have a son born 1779. But I'm not at all sure of the date I have for Pleasant's birth - although if anything, I would guess he might've been born later than 1766...so it still wouldn't work for father of your William.. How sure are you for the date you have for William? I'm afraid I don't really know anything about the William son of Pleasant...for example, I don't know if or who he married.
