I noted your messages about Dock Peter Baize. He was my great-grandfather.My father (Cleburbe Edward Baize) was the son of his youngest son (James Franklin Baize).
It is my understanding that his name actually was Doctor Peter Baize and he was born January 28, 1820 in Tennessee and died in Voca. His second wife was an Elizabeth Williams and they were married in December in 1854.I do not know who his first wife was.Doctor Peter's children supposedly were:
CD Baize (b 1843 in TN), Annie Baize (b 1845 in MS), Mary Jane Baize (b 1850), R.M. Baize (B 1852 in MO), James Franklin Baize (b 1855 in Jefferson City, MO), and Amanda Baize (b 1857 in MO).His econd wife (Elizabeth Williams died in 1890 in Vova, TX) and he married his third wife (Mary Ann Corball (Freeman) in 1892).
Doctor Peter Baize evidently was the 6th son of Abednego Baize (b 1783 and died 1866) and a woman namwd Sarah (supposedly 100% Cherokee Indian). His older siblings were Hyrum (b abt 1809), John (b abt 1812), Willam C. (b abt 1814), Jefferson Peter (b May 16, 1816, and Jesse H. Baize (b abt 1817).His younger siblings were Charity (b abt 1828), Squire (b abt 1829), Mary Jane b abt 1830), Abenego, Jr. (b abt 1831), and Joseph T (b abt 1835).
My reports indicate Abednego (Sr) Baize was killed by Indians in 1866.
