Some nice rootschatter - www.rootschat.com found my Bearmans on the 1861 census in Greenwich. The address was 6 Norfolk Place Greenwich.
But William the head of the family was born in Barking Essex c 1812. Occupation given as sick attendant Royal Hospital Greenwich. Since I did not see the census original myself Barking may be Bocking as I'm sure they look similar.
His wife Jane (nee Pine) born Rochester Kent c 1815.
Charles born c 1844 was born in Southsea Hants and is a 17 year old seman with the Royal Navy.
Albert born 1851 Taunton Somerset
Alice 1854 Greenwich
Emily 1856 Greenwich
Frederick 1859 Greenwich - my great great grandad.
So what with William and Jane getting married in Devon and sons Charles and Albert being born Hampshire and Somerset. They appear to have led a somewhat gypsy existance before settling in Greenwich.
