Beattie - Angus, Scotland

John Beattie born c1761 in St Vigeans, Angus married Helen Rodgers in 1793 they had 8 children - Margaret 1794, George 1795, Helen 1798, John 1802, James 1805, Charles 1807, Isobel 1809 and Ann 1815. Ann was my gg grandmother and gave birth to an illegitimate child (Alexander McIntosh)
I think John was the son of Robert Beattie and Jean Lamb.Has anyone any connection to these names ?
