I don't know if you're still looking for this information, but did you know there was an Abraham "Beydler" in Shenandoah Co VA in 1801?I know about him because an ancestor of mine witnessed a deed:
March 9, 1801, Abraham Beydler and wife Barbara to Abraham Beydler Jr., all of Shenandoah County; witnesses: Samuel R. Bader, Christian Crabill; deed signed in German.(Shenandoah Co Deeds M:354)
I've run across the name Beydler in Shenandoah Co multiple times, including this one:
September 16, 1816, Samuel R. Bader and Mary, his wife, late Mary Perry, one of the children and heirs of James Perry, deceased, late of Shenandoah County, sold for $350, to Jacob Beydler, one undivided tenth part or share of the lands of James Perry. (Shenandoah Co Deeds X:132)
George Shaver m. Mary Bodler/Beidler/Beydler in 1823, and Elizabeth Gochenour m. Crafton J. Beydler in 1856, both Shenandoah Co.
As you may know, many of the early settlers of Shenandoah Co were Germans from PA.Don't know much else, but let me know if this interests you.I may be able to find something more.
