Hi, I have a 20+ page paper that covers your surname. The paper calls you guys "deBerard" not just plain "Berard" but some of the names in the paper match up with names I've found on this genforum page (I don't think it ties in with any of the Canada stuff I've seen here though). It has a b/w COA picture (Courteously, Graciously, and Bravely); Descent Of The deBerard Family 1232-1753; The deBerard Family in America (1753-1938); a transcribed record dated 1 July 1887 signed and certified by A. Raymond (whoever he is) Secretaire-General, Mairie of Grenoble. In 1958 Dorothy (deBerard) Pheris took up the search for Charles Joseph deBerard and wrote the National Archives in France and the paper contains the reply from The Director General of the Archives of France, by the chief recorder and interpretor, Menguy de Impigny. It has her thoughts relative to the above NA of France reply. It continues on through the years until 1909 Charles Joseph deBerard m. Elizabeth Wilson, Wheaton IL. Then there are pictures of Charles Joseph deBerard 1849, Sarah (Esrey) deBerard 1845, Charles A. deBerard 1812, Susan (Case) deBerard, Fredrick W. deBerard 1823, Frances J. (Merrill) deBerard 1827, Hattie (deBerard) Morrill 1859, and Wilford W. deBerard 1874. 2 more pages of the Case Family is available if desired. Sorry, but this info IS NOT FREE. Please email me individually for specifics stating your interest. I do not know where the info came from originally, it must have been part of another book because the pages are numbered 3-27. Regards, Garron Woodruff.
