sorry but i don't have either of those names in my Swiss forebears. They all came from a small town of Eiken in Canton Aargau, and I live in Australia.
The Berger name is quite popular in bothe German speaking areas (mountain dweller) or in French (shepherd) and with many branches across Europe. In Switzerland you really need to know which town they came from as they store the information at the original family town. If you can find this in some old records, passports, etc. you may have some success, but it can still be along road. Hang in there - we made it back past the 1770 barrier.
