My great great grandfather, Louis Francoise Henry Berger (born 8/4/1855 in Ivrey, France) came to Louisiana in the very early 1900s. He married Eugenie Marie Mart Bares. Our family around the Erath--LeBlanc Community, west of New Orleans, and south of Lafayette, Louisiana. However, we have 2 stories about my grandfather's arrival in Louisiana. #1...He cam on board a ship to New York and then to New Orleans where he met my family (cattle herders) and #2...he came straight to Louisiana via a ship. Currently, we don't know to correct story and are turning all of our efforts to finding it. I am the Chairperson of the Berger family in our area and have a website, please visit it or email me. website: http://www.bergerfamily.freeservers.comhttp://www.bergerfamily.freeservers.comemail leblanc01@cox-internet.com
