Since posting this earlier message I have done some research on this family and found:
This Johnson family was in Knox Co., TN from at least the very early 1800s until 1900. Mary Galyon was born in Tennessee per census records. Her mother Nancy ___ Galyon was born in either South Carolina or Tennessee.
Elijah Johnson was the son of Nathaniel (b abt 1820) and Mahala Johnson (b abt 1824).Nathaniel was probably the son of Elijah Johnson and Mary "Polly" Childress who married in Knox Co. on Jan. 13, 1817.
Walter Chamberlin was born in either Maryland or Illinois (probably in Maryland). All census records I found for Walter showed his father was born in New York and his mother in Pennsylvania.Walter and Josie were married about 1901 (in 1900 he was a widower).Josie died in 1905 and during the time they were married they were living in Birmingham, Jefferson Co., AL.
Walter was married prior to his marriage to Josephine Johnson and from this union he had two sons, one born in Maryland and the other in Illinois. In 1900 he was living in Knoxville, Knox Co., TN and residing with him were his mother Rosa L. Johnson and two sons, Lin (?) and Franc H.In 1920 Walter Chamberlin was living with his son Franc H. and daughter-in-law in Chicago, Cook Co., IL.
Elias Berger was born in Norway and came to the United States in 1886 when he was about 9 years of age.In 1910 Elias and Lillie May Johnson Berger were living in Birmingham, Jefferson Co., AL; in 1920 and 1930 they were in Memphis, Shelby Co., TN.
Rosalee Berger married Carl Walker before 1930.Carl Walker was living in Lauderdale Co., MS with his first wife in 1920.In 1930 he and Rosalee were living in Little Rock, Arkansas.
