Barbara, it is good see your reply. We've corresponded before.I can attest that you are indeed gracious with sharing information; a while ago you mailed me documentation that included a copy of a composite picture containing Elizabeth Berger and Abraham Deetz, their son (your ancestor) Thomas, their son (my ancestor and my grandfather's great-grandfather) William and all the family.
This information would need to be verified, but I've gathered the following ascending information on the Bergers since my last posting at this forum:
1 - Elizabeth P. Berger (9 Apr 1795 - 24 Jan 1865) X Abraham Deetz (24 Aug 1781 - 21 Aug 1856)
2 - Jacob Berger, Jr., SAR (4 Jun 1760 - 28 Nov 1828) XCatharina Cooper, Dutch Immigrant (28 Jan 1765 - 10 Jan 1840)
3 - Jacob Berger, Sr., Immigrant, of Bucks County ( - 1794) X Catharine Berkheiser
4 - John Ulrich Burger
I just checked rootsweb.com, which has information similar to this, but I have additional resources I've looked at; my hard copies are in a place so safe at this time that not even I can find them.
My wonderful parents have retired to Sarasota. They would be so excited to meet you a cousin if you were ever down their way.Feel free to send me personal correspondence to firstname.lastname@example.org.
