Rev. John Berk in Wisconsin and Nebraska
I'm looking for anyone that may know of or be related to the above. He was born in Germany abt. 1836.He married first a Catharine Barbara Plattner in 1863 in Wisconsin.Catherine died in 1867 and Rev. Berk remarried in 1869 to Amelia (or Emily) Triller. He had one son Calvin with Catherine and two daughters with Amelia, Lydia and Emmaall born in Wisconsin.Calvin married Mary Offer.Their children, all born in Nebraska were:Calvin Jr.
Anne M, Mathilda, John F and Arnold B.Catherine Barbara Plattner was my ggg aunt whose brother Nicolaus was my great great grandfather.I believe one of John and Amelia's daughters married a Kling (maybe William) and had a daughter named Myrtle.I have a couple of old letters that John F. Berk wrote to family members of mine and he names Myrtle as being a cousin and I'm just trying to figure out how they are connected.I have information on the Plattner family and a little on the Berks that I'd be more than happy to share. Thanks
