Well the Marcella Lawless that is related to me boyfriend definitely lived in Oldcourt Carbury. She is transcribed in the 1911 census as Mareela. Her parents were James Lawless and Bridget Murphy. The family goes...Walter Lawless 1779-1869 wife possibly Margaret. children Thomas 1828 Marcella 1831 Patrick 1834. I have not yet found the birth of James c.1826 which is your line. If Walter is not his father he is certainly a relation! Walter is there during the tithes of 1830s and again in Griffiths. Given the age of Walter it is possible that he married more than once and Walter may even be a grandparent to James 1829... Work to be done there!
James married Bridget Treynor and children were.. John 1860 (note, not Walter first) Mary 1860 Marcella 1862 James 1864 Bridget 1867.. Has child Rosanna Lawless 1904 out of wedlock Patrick 1869 Walter 1872 (fourth born son)
James 1864 marries Bridget Murphy born 30 aug 1871 She is the daughter of Christopher Murphy 1838-1915 and Mary Whelehan c.1835-1907. Whelahans father was Edward. Christopher's parents were William Murphy and Mary Fitzgerald. I believe Williams father was also Christopher and that Williams brothers were Christopher junior and Thomas, the descendants of which are in the Killowen census.
Bridget Murphy had a number of siblings.. Mary 1864 NY married Dwyer widowed w/o issue Eliza or Lizzie NY married Peter J Cox widowed w/o issue William 1869 died young William Patrick "Flink" 1873-1956 NY married Helen Darby had issue John 1876 married a Jane and had issue
