I see that some of you have connections with Lincoln and Stamford.I have a small hand-written booklet (bought for a pittance at a book fair some years ago!) containing an inventory of premises in Lincoln owned / occupied by the premises.
[words in square brackets are my suggestions where the hand writing was unclear] ………………………….. "Inventory of Household Furniture &c taken upon the Premises of Mrs. Charlotte Eloisa Berridge, and George Henry [Harvey?] Berridge No. 15 Pelham Street in the City of Lincoln on the 31st day of July 1884"
And to give you a taste, this is the kitchen - sounding very homely!
" KITCHEN Couch in American Leather Deal Table with Drawers Child's Chair Windsor Arm Chair & Cushion 3 Hair Seated Chairs Gents Easy Chair Stool Wainscoat Dining Table Fender Fire Irons Copper Kettle Tidy Betty Timepiece Bookshelf & Books 5 Pictures Oval Looking Glass 2 Pickle Jars Treadle Sewing Machine by Singer 6 Tumblers Sundry Earthenware 6 White Bone Knives and Forks 1 carver and Fork 9 Electro Plated Tea Spoons 6 Electro Plated Table Spoons 6 Electro Plated Dessert Spoons 1 Electro Plated Sugar Tongs 2 Cocoa Mats"
Looking at the IGI, George appears to have been the son of Charlotte.
