I was shocked when I read this one...from the 1880 Maine Census in Deering, Cumberland Co., Maine there is a George C. Bibber whose occupation is Seaman he is single age 20 yrs. old and his Birthplace is listed as Georgia as are his Mother and Father???!!! Now that's a New one!Hey Paula and John remember the Bibber I found who was a land owner in Alabama in the 1800's?Now I'm wondering if a branch of them didn't head south?...any maybe they are a part of the branch who changed their names to VanBibber too. I'm beginning to think Anything is possible with this family. Other Bibber's with occupations of interest (I thought), was a John Bibber age 36 living in Freeport, Cumberland Co, who was a Jailor, Henry A. Bibber a Sea Captain, Charles E. Bibber, Clergyman, Joel Bibber a Car Carpenter (guess that was back in the days when cars had Real wood trim), George E. Bibber ran a Boarding House, John D. Bibber a joiner, Randall D. Bibber, age 34 Physician, Thomas H. Bibber, age 40 Lighthouse Keeper (he manned Seguin Light), Eleazer S. Bibber a Cabinet Maker, Thomas M. Bibber of Eastport age 45 Inspector of Customs, Freemont A. Bibber, age 23 works in Sardine Factory, andFred Bibber age 55 Pilot. I thought these were pretty interesting and just wanted to share them with everyone. Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend.
