Hi Judy, Great find!I couldn't find record of their marriage in the Wes Cochran, Meigs County Ohio Marriages 1819-1913, so I bet October 10, 1864 in Ohio Co., Indiana is correct for this couple.
This gives me hope that communication between Indiana and Ohio families was close.
Did you know I found Andrew Chevalier died in Rising Sun in October 30,1873 and Hannah Chevalier buried in Jas. Jones Cemetery in Rising Sun, IN May 7, 1877?
I never found death date or burial spot for John Chevalier (b. 1800), but maybe he died in Indiana also.I've looked all over Meigs County.I never found Jane Reese (John's first wife) b. d. or m. and didn't find Hannah ? (John's second wife) b. or m.I had Meigs Co. Historical Society search all the Hoyts in Meigs Co. and couldn't connect that name or find Jane's line either.
I looked for Ohio Co. Indiana cemeteries, but not much on line for that county.Do you still live in Indiana?
Also on some censuses, Margaret Chevalier Dugle says b. in Ohio, some say Pennsylvania.Date of Birth from 1832 to 1834.Couldn't find Frank(lin) Hoyt Chevalier in 1880 either. If you could find death certificate for him, maybe it would give mother's maiden name.He died in 1928.
