My husband's family has a Bill connection in New Brunswick, but an Elisha Bill, dying around 1922, has his father born in Nova Scotia. It does not seem that the information came from Elisha, but from someone else who got a few things wrong - for example, Elisha's father is down as an Andrew Bill, but we know he was Elisha from the census records. It has always fascinated me that Edward Bill, who was one of the planters, seems to have left no trace of himself in Nova Scotia. Did he ever arrive? All the others who came at the same time have a family history in Nova cotia. Strangely, my husband's ancestor from Scotland, Allan McLean, settled in Cornwallis in 1784 for three years before moving to New Brunswick. He purchased some land that had been formerly in the grant of Edward Bill. There was a later connection between the McLeans and the Bills in New Brunswick - but that's another story. Any help will be appreciated,
