Samuel Bilyard and Mary Booth were married on 24 November 1812, West Markham, Nottingham, England.
They had the following children:
John Bilyard baptised 4 July 1813, East Markham, Nottingham, England
William Bilyard baptised 18 June 1818 at East Markham, Nottingham, England. He married Mary Ann Alcock (I think she was born about 1826 in the Nottingham area) in the June Quarter , 1847, Newark, 15, 791 (that’s the reference you need to order the certificate from the ONS online). There is a record for a William Bilyard born in 1851 December Quarter, 1852, East Retford, 7b, 2).
I believe that John was born in England, as was Mary Anne and William, but Samuel was born in New York in about 1863, Sarah in Illinois in about 1865 and Fred in Illinois about 1871.
Martha Bilyard baptised 19 February 1821, East Markham, Nottingham, England
Abraham Bilyard baptised 8 October 1826, East Markham, Nottingham, England DIED 8 May 1828.
I have a copy of the 1851 census which shows William, Mary Ann and Mary Ann the daughter.
Note: I’ve been researching the Bilyard name and this group of people I called ‘Strays’ because I couldn’t fit them in anywhere!
