Birdsong of Pee Dee Native American descent?
I'm wondering if any Birdsongs out there are of Native American descent? I'm trying to locate the parents of my ggggrandmother Orra Zilpha Williamson Phillips b. Aug 25, 1824 and d. July 22, 1886 in Springfield, Orangeburg County S.C. She wasn't on any records before or after her marriage to David Vastine Phillips in S.C. My oldest sister remembers our grandmother stating we had a 'Birdsong' ancestor that was Native American and I believe it may have been her. She remarried and her new last name was "Stone", but she was buried beside David Vastine Phillips in the Rocky Swamp Cemetery in Neeses, Orangeburg County, South Carolina by the Rocky Swamp Methodist Church with a majority Pee Dee congregation. I read where it's members observe a combination of Methodist and Native American Church religions (from Wikipedia). It also went on to say many Pee Dee people are buried in it's historic cemetery. If anyone knows about Orra Zilphia Williamson Phillips or that she may have been a "Birdsong" and/or if that name is connected to Native Americans please let me know. I did just find out her father's name was Tom Williamson but I have nothing else on him. Thanks for any help on this.
