In the name of God Amen, I George Bitner, of Saltlick Township,
Fayette County, and State of Pennsylvania yeoman.Being weak in body but of sound mind, memory and understanding, and considering the uncertainty of transitory life, Do make and publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form following to wit:Princible and first of all I commend my immortal soul int the hands of God who gave it, and my body to the earth, to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner, at the discretion of my Executors, herinafter named and as to such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life, I gave and dispose of the same in the following manner to wit.I gave and devise unto my beloved wife Elizabeth my farm whereon we now reside, during her natural life if she remains my widow solong and also my personal property is to remain in her hands, or so much as may be left after my just debts are paid, it is my will that immediately after my decease, that so much of my personal property be sold as will pay all my just debts and if there is any left to be & remain in the possession of my wife Elizabeth as aforesaid and after her death, my estate, real, personal and mixed, or of what kind or nature soever the same may be in the County of Fayette aforesaid, or elsewhere to be sold and equally divided, share & share alike amongst my children or grandchildren as the case may be with the exception of my grand daughter Elizabeth now intermarried to Daniel Willtrout, who is to have fifty dollars out of my estate, and the balance to be equally divided as aforesaid and further I will that my son Levi Bitner, shall have my rifle gun, and one horse creature, over and above his share; it is also my will that Harriet Lichty, my granddaughter shall have one cow, one bed one chest, and one spinning wheel, if she serves her time out, and it is further my will, that all the moneys which I have paid for my son John, shall be deducted out of his share.And lastly, I nominate constitute and appoint my trusty friend Henry I. Bitner and Peter Snyder of the Township of Saltlick in the County of Fayette, to be the Executors, of this my will, hereby revoking all other wills, legacies and bequests, by me herto fore made, and declaring this and no other to be my last will & testament.In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty-three.

On the 22d day of February A. D. 1844,Before me Joseph Gadd, Register. for the probate of wills & granting letters of administration in and foresaid County of Fayette, personally appeared Abram C. Dumbauld & Daniel Wilt the two first subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last will & testament of George Bittner, late of Saltlick township decd. and being sworn according to law, deposeth and saith that they were present & saw & heard the testator George Bitner sign, seal, pronounce & declare the same, as and for his last will & testament, and at the time of so doing, he was of perfect & sound mind memory & understanding, to the best of their knowledge, observation & belief, that they know of no undue influence used or later will made by the decd. & that they signed their names as witnesses thereto at the request & in the presence of the testator & in the presence of each other.In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal of the Registers Office, at Union Town the day & date aforesaid.Joseph Gadd, Register
