First, my name is NOT Henry, just so you know.Secondly, it was not at all uncommon for kids to move away, find a spot they found fitting to themselves for whatever reason, and just settle down there.I have no doubt that Thomas that you mention first stayed in the Ripon lodge area, none at all. What I am saying is that I believed very possibly that the William and Jane Blackburn I mentioned were kin to them in some manner.Lambeth Tye Blackburn's grandparents, William and Elizabeth, could very well be connected to Richard/Thomas Blackburn?
I'm just trying to sort through all of this, especially because I see that some of Lambeth Tye's family ended up in Texas as well.I would consider Texas a bit more far-flung than Kentucky at the time, and perhaps a wee bit less hospitable.:-)
But thank you for responding, I am very curious as to your proof of Thomas?I have other Blackburn in my family as well (Nathaniel Blackburn who married Lizzie Plymale, their daughter, Maggie Pauline Blackburn, married my great-grandfather William Joseph Runyon.Their son Nathaniel Calvary Runyon, my grandfather, is named for both of his grandfathers). It appears, from what I've been able to find, that Nathaniel was a son of Thomas Blackburn, Jr. and grandson of Thomas Blackburn you mention, which would make him the great grandson of Lambeth Tye Blackburn.
If you wish, you can email me directly and we can share notes, my direct email is [email protected]
