Yes, there is a lot to learn. We are all finding out more all the time.
If you know the Blackler tree has been researched back to 1400 that is great. It would be marvellous if you can find the papers and then we can all see if we can find the various missing links.
I also know that one Capt. Blackler sailed to Virginia in the early 1600's so Master Mariners go back a long way. I am one also! Finding the links is the difficult bit.
I have started looking into the USA Blacklers on my database but they are very disjointed so any details would be welcome. My computer tells me that I have nearly 3,500 Blackler names on it now! I have more not yet added.
When were you born and what is your daughters name?
Where do you live? I am in southern England, not too far from the original Blackler territory.
I was born in 1943, near Plymouth, and my daughter is Ann b 1984 at Winchester. She is studying to be a Master Mariner! Currently at sea between Iceland and Greenland.
