I saw your post on the White board. I didn't find much on them except several articles on Jesse. His middle name is Winfield, if that is of any help. I did find Ancil Waggoner's obit, if you don't have it I can email it to you.
Iva's mother was Lydia Jane Runnion, born 28 Aug 1893 in Walton, Roane, W.V. Her parents on her birth record are Elijah Runnion and Mary Catherine Moore.Found at http://www.familysearch.orghttp://www.familysearch.org
I don't know if Lydia was ever married to Mr Blackwell, as I can't find a marriage record. A tree poster has Iva's sister Beulah Blackwell as the daughter of James M. Blackwell. Lydia Runnion lived in his home in the 1910 census she was listed as 17 and as a servant.James Blackwell was married with a wife & several children, he died in 1929.
Lydia Runnion married Winfield McCormick 16 Nov 1919. She is listed as LJ Blackwell widowed on the marriage record, he is WM McCormick widowed. You can find Iva, Bertie & Beulah Blackwell living in Winfield McCormick's home in 1920 census listed as his step-daughters.
Ancil & Iva married 27 Feb 1947 in Clendenin. She was listed as single and he as widowed.Iva had some children before they married.Evelyn Lorain Blackwell born 20 July 1946 died 1 Aug 1946 of pneumonia & Bobby Gene Blackwell born 14 June 1944 died 18 April 1946, he drowned in a creek near her home. Story in the Charleston paper, Lydia McCormick is listed as his grandmother, she is also the informant on his death record. Iva also had two children with a Eugene (Gene) Strickland, Billy Ray Strickland & Helen Strickland who died at 8 months old in a house fire, newspaper article says Mr & Mrs Strickland but I can't find the marraige record, again grandmother Lydia McCormick is mentioned. Billy Ray Strickland is mentioned in Ancil's obit as a stepson. So is a Edward Chandler, but I don't know if Iva was Edward's mother. Two great sites for West Virginia resources. The 1940 census comes out in 15 days, I think.
