I am pressently living in Grayson county KY and from what I've read I may very well have some connection to early Blakemans in KY. I was born in Chicago in 1957 and my father Hugo Joseph Blakeman as well as my late mother Emily E. McQueary were both Chicago born natives. My dad's mother was married once to a man named Junken and also Blakeman back in/about the depression era with my dad being in the middle. Last I talked to my dad he did not know his mother's maiden name but last recollection his father's name was Jesse Blakeman. My dad has a brother Douglas Jesse Blakeman and a younger brother Sidney (MI unknown) Blakeman and they had an older hald brother Robert (Bob) Junken as well as another half brother William (Bill) that was born a Junken and took the Blakeman name. Bob died shortly after my grandmother in the late 60's and Bill died in the last few years. They also have sisters Betty (dead), Audrey (Skokie IL) and Esther DeYoung (suburbs of Chicago somewhere). Their father (Jesse) abandoned them in the late 30's and until sometime in the 80's they all told me that he was dead when my dad was 5 but I found that he had moved to either New England or Canada. This is about all I have to work with and can only assume other events. Anyone that may have conenction to or information to the tree that might tie to this is welcome and encouraged to either post a reply or email me direct. Thanks.
