Blanchfield Family Tree Project

I'm at a dead-end as far as tracing my family roots, though I do know there is a Blanchfield connection.Apparently my Mom was "born on the wrong side of the blanket".Mom died in 1997 aged 78 without ever telling us her story. She was known to have said to her younger half-sisters that "she came from a rich family in Kilkenny" so she did know she was illegitimate. I only found out last year from a relative who assumed I knew.My Gran worked as a servant for Blanchfields of Kilkenny,(she would have been born sometime in the late 1890's.) and got pregnant by a Blanchfield and was married off to my step-grandad, who was a farm worker in the same place, when my Mom was 9 weeks old. My problem is I don't know which Blanchfields!I would be interested to find out more about the family. There are lots of them in Kilkenny but I do remember being brought to visit relatives there as a child, but all the family who knew the story are all passed on now.I would appreciate any information you have.
