Hans Warren Blank, 82, of 1250 Buccaneer Ave., Deltona, Volusia Co., FL, USA, died Tuesday at his residence, at 2:18 a.m. November 11, 2003, after a lengthy illness.
He was the husband of Mary Rose (Savino) Blank whom he married on September 4, 1954, and survives him.
Born in Charlottenburg, Brandenburg, Germany on February 27, 1921, he was the only son of the late Arthur Richard and Kaithe Hildagard (Mandel) Blank.Hans emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1930.
At age 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Army for 3 years, and in 1945 enlisted in the U.S. Marines for 7 years.
He retired from Hoffman La Roche Pharmaceuticals, Nutley, New Jersey after 28 years of service, and then moved to Deltona, Florida in 1980 from Lyndhurst, New Jersey.
Other survivors include a daughter; Cassandra Lee ‘Sandy’ (Blank) Fashano and her husband Victor of Bloomfield, Essex Co., New Jersey; a grandson, Brian Edward Fisher of Weston, Broward Co., Florida, and two great-granddaughters.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 14, 2003 at 5:p.m. at the Baldauff Family-Funeral Home & Crematory, 1233 Saxton Blvd., Orange City, FL.
