Noel Blankenship:will made 24 Aug 1794, proved 20 Oct 1794. 100 acres of land to Abel Blankenship adjoining the place where he now lives. Balance of land where I now live (150 acres) to wife, Mary, during here lifetime or widowhood, at here decease to be divided among my sons and daughters. Executor: Abel Blankenship Wit. Michael Stonebraker & Thomas Anderson. Marriages:Patience Blankenship to John Moore 25 Feb 1791. Betsy Blankenship to John Warren 13 Feb 1794. Vol II, p. 288. ABEL BLANKENSHIP"Born before 1765 Va. d. Jun 1820, killed by the fall of a tree. He was s/o Noel -proven by a deposition giving by his cousin, Jesse Blankenship, in 1843. Abel was a Rev soldier, serving under Col. Geor Rogers Clark. He m. ca 1782 Halifax Co. VA Fanny Worsham, d/o Drurey. She d. 1844, Cumberland Co. Ky. They lived in Bedford Co. until about 1806, then moved to Cumberland (now Russell) co., Ky. (6 other sons and daughters) Looks like your Noel is not the son of Abel. Hope this information adds to what you have. By the way, if you write out Nowell it looks a lot like Norvell.
