The William Blas(s)ingame who married Elizabeth Farriswas the brother of MY GGGFather.I did not have a middle name for him. He was in the War of 1812 and in his pension application he said that he married ELIZABETH FARRIS in FRANKLIN COUNTY, TENNESSEEin 1815.He was in Lawrence County Tennessee in 1850living right next to my GGFather WADE B.MY GGF came to Texas in 1856. WILLIAM diedin 1876 and ELIZABETH died in 1878. They are buried together in the Blasingame Cemetery located near Waylon Springs in Lawrence County Tennessee, It is said that there are members of the GOAT, GILBERT and other members of the FARRIS FAMILY are buried in the same cemetery. The cemetery is near the farm that William and Elizabeth were living on in 1850. They appear to have lived there for a number of years.I have never been able to establish that William and Elizabeth has children. Dr. Doak Blassingame in his books speculates that JOHN BLASINGAME was their son. It appears, however, that he was born before they were married.
JOHN BLASSINGAME (SR) (who I believe was my 4th Great Grandfather) had a daughter named PHOEBE, she married JOHN HAM/HAMM. They moved to Tennessee in the early 1800's and lived inGILES COUNTY. They had a son named BLASINGAME HAM/HAMM. Hehad a daughter named MARTHA ANDERSON HAM b March 1830 in McNairy County, Tenn. She marriedWILLIAM CHAMPION FARRISwho had been born in Tennessee in February of 1824. This is all of the Blasingame/Farris marriages that I have found.
I have not found any history on either the Hathcock or Stoveall Families.
