Hello, got your message, glad your helping people like me.
In the Kansas Census of 1880 I checked my ancestor Darrow Blodget and it says his father ( EZRA ) born either in U.S.or N.S.Naturally written in fancy Script so if US probably Conn. and if N.S. ( Novia Scotia ) ?
Where Darrow was born 'He says' is now FRANKLIN Co. Ohio and that land was Rev. War Bounty lands, the only MALE I have figured out to have been there is one EZRA. But who shows up as head of household is a NANCY.And since my ancestor has a name of Darrow, kinda figuring that must have been Nancy's maiden name.A lot of guess work here, but there just are no written records. They were on a frontier at that time, and no Bible found. Darrow used for children's names:LUZETTE, CHARLES, RICHARD, JAMES, ALBERT and JOHN I use the land record of Franklin Co. Blendon Township to connect NANCY to DARROW.Nancy seems to have a son named William also a daughters Emaline and perhaps Amanda.
The only other possibilities that I have are:
Lt. Samuel Blodget in April 1800 was also getting land in this area of Ohio, but so far have no way of tying him to my ancestor Darrow Blodget.
Also find a Philip Blodget b. 23 Sept 1773 married a Nancy Cameron on 26 Jun 1800 in Barre, VT.Could it then be them who came to Ohio and are parents of Darrow Blodget ? I found the following Phillip in Ohio - 1840 and Delaware is next to Franklin Co. He could be a nephew or cousin, or just a co-incidence.grin.
