St. Charles (Kane County, Illinois) Chronicle, Sept. 19, 1902, Local Notes: John A. Blomquist and Miss Josie C. Axelson, both of this city, were united in happy wedlock last Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the home of the bride's parents three miles north of St. Charles. Rev. E.C. Jessup performed the ceremony. The bride's sister, Miss Agnes Axelson, acted as bridesmaid, and Albert Rosene as groomsman. Only the relatives and intimate friends were present, but they made up a large company. After the ceremony and congratulations were over, the guests were seated at a most sumptuous dinner. The presents received were numerous and valuable and included everything that is useful in a home. The bride is one of St. Charles' well known and popular young ladies, who has a host of friends, and the groom is a popular young man of excellent character who holds the position of head clerk in Chas. Olson's grocery. The happy couple have a bright future and begin their married life under favorable circumstances. Their many friends wish them much joy and happiness on their matrimonial journey. They will immediately settle down to housekeeping in this city and will occupy the home of the groom's father on East Seventh street, where they will be at home to their friends.
