Dear Mr. McCallum, I am a descendant of one of the sigenrs of the Declaration of Sentiments at Seneca Falls in 1848, Maria(H) E Wilbur. I have discovered that Maria(h) lived the last few years (around 1880) at Deloit, Crawford County, Iowa. The proximity to Council Bluffs and the notariety of Amelia Bloomer would lead me to believe that there might be some contact between the two.I am interested in your families life in Council Bluffs and family members both on a personal level also as I have also become a volunteer researcher for the Seneca Falls Women's Rights National Park. The tieing in of Amelia with my ancestor so many years after the reputed first Women's Rights Convention would bring to circle the lives of one well known Seneca Falls inhabitants with one of the signers of a document that the 1848 convention callled forth the need for equal rights. I would appreciate your sharing information on your family and if you come across any references (possibly family letters, old news clippings, whatever) to the Wilbur family during Amelia and Dexter's lifetime, to let me know. my e-mail address is - firstname.lastname@example.org I approach you this way as I don't want to contact you without your approval.
Yours truly, Charles Lenhart 54 East Wautoma Beach Road Hilton, New York 14468 585 392 3694
