Jesse Carl Boak was married briefly in California, name unk. His family in MO were unaware that on his travels in the Pacific he fathered at least three girls: Marjorie Veronica Kukua in Nov 1939 in Hawaii. Jesse attempted to return, but Marjorie's mother Betsy's family, ran him off, as Betsy was full Hawaiian. Jesse went to the PI and married a woman and had another daughter, Virgina who was 2yrs at Jesse's death. Virgina's mother was pregnant with another daughter, Dorothy, who was born after Jesse's death. Jesse's family in MO were not aware of his children at the time of his death. Jesse's WWII records were lost in the fire which destroyed many WWII records in the 1970s.
However, Jesse Carl Boak died a 2LT in the US Army, and was awarded two purple hearts, a silver star and a bronze star for his military service. He is listed on a wall in the American Cemetery in Manila, PI.
