I posted a follow up for someone else about the origin of the Boehm and other transliterations of the name.I am not sure how far back you want to go, but the Palintate Germany area wwas a relatively recent past. All of the "Clan" if you will, have their origin to the Boii Tribe, known in history to have been savage Celtic warriors. Every Century or two the wore out their welcome or were looking for fresher pastures.Boii means "Sacred Milk" or they were "the people of the Sacred Milk".does that mean they worshiped Milk?Don't know. But it's a good guess. They were cattle producers.
That history follows up to the Palintate and other Germanic, Austrian, Czech,( and other ), areas of occupation.Yes I know Roots are one thing and lines are another.
