the swiss BONER origin
hello from Switzerland - the home country of two of the "BONER Family Trees" since many hundret years. This could esp. be interesting for all "MARTIN BONERs", because Saint Martin is the patron of one villages high up in the alps where one BONER-Family originally comes from. It's tradition since many hundret years - that always one son of the Boner family is named MARTIN, no matter where the familiy lives now. By the way : Have you ever thought that BONER comes from the french word "bonheur" - which means luck ?! The historical family arms of my BONER-Family carries the heraldic motto "je porte bonheur" - which means : "I bring luck".... And here in Switzerland and in France - "BONER" and "bonheur" almoust sounds alike.
