Thank you for your reply. My information suggests that Peter D'Auge, son of James D'Auge and Mary Bonney married Susanne Tull/Tully. Peter's brother, Richard D'Auge married Jane Tull/Tully.My source is two deeds that Benjamin Tull/Tully executed on 10 January 1715/16 to each of his grandaughters giving each half of his land, 438 acres, after his wife's death. The deeds mention "Jane Dauge, daughter if Richard and Jane Dauge" and "Susannah, daughter of Peter and Susannah Dauge" ( Misc. early deeds of Albermarle Precinct, NC State Archives) I have Mary Bonney D'Auge as being born abt. 1680, married to James D'Auge/Dauge early 1690's and death in 1719. My information also suggests that Susanne Tull/Tully was the first wife(married abt 1714) of Peter Dauge and that Angelicoe Gregory was his second wife, (marrried abt 1737)- Dates of children's births by both wives pretty much confirm this as well as she( Angelicoe) is listed as his wife in his will that was written 30 Nov 1771 and probated 9 Nov 1778.From what I am able to find, the name D'Auge changed to Dauge to Dozier over the years. I have also seen the name Tull/Tulle and Tully as possible spellings- guess it just depended on who wrote it. I would love to have more information on the Richard Bonney born abt 1630 and his wife Mary- I've seen two different last names for her, so hesitate to name her as Mary Shipp unless there is written proof somewhere. Would like to know if any of these people were among the first settlers at Jamestowne or related to the first settlers.
